Does Mono train on my data? No.

Mono never trains on your data. Period.

When you chat on Mono, third-party providers answer your requests. Mono takes privacy seriously and only works with providers that do not train on your data or offer the possibility to opt out (which Mono does for you).

Mono offers models from a variety of providers, each with its own data handling and training policies. Using these models through Mono ensures you benefit from our enhanced privacy standards, which may differ from direct use. Information on this page is intended for Mono users only.

OpenAI on Mono

Trains on your data? No.

OpenAI doesn't train on data submitted through their API (the system Mono uses). Your inputs and outputs aren't used to improve models. Data may be retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, then deleted.

Can you opt out? Already opted out by default when using Mono.

Google Gemini on Mono

Trains on your data? No.

Google's Gemini API doesn't use your prompts or responses for training. Data gets logged only for abuse monitoring and policy enforcement. Access is limited to authorized employees. It's explicitly not used to train or improve models.

While free Gemini users might have inputs used under broader Google policies, using Gemini through Mono excludes data from training by default.

Can you opt out? Not necessary. Usage through Mono excludes training by default.

Perplexity on Mono

Trains on your data? No.

Perplexity explicitly does not use Customer Content (your inputs and outputs) to train, retrain, fine-tune, or otherwise improve any generative artificial intelligence models.

Can you opt out? Already opted out by default. Mono (which builds on the API) excludes training.

Anthropic Claude on Mono

Trains on your data? No.

Anthropic doesn't train on API data without explicit consent. Mono never gave and will never give that consent. Your conversations through Mono stay private. Data may be retained briefly for trust and safety monitoring, then deleted.

Can you opt out? Not necessary. Usage through Mono excludes training by default.

Grok (xAI) on Mono

Trains on your data? No.

xAI explicitly does not use User Content (your inputs and outputs) for internal AI training purposes, including training machine learning models or developing new products based on your data.

Can you opt out? Already opted out by default when using Mono.

Llama (Meta) on Mono

Trains on your data? No.

Meta explicitly does not use your User Content (inputs and outputs) to train any artificial intelligence models. This is stated directly in their terms: "Meta will not use your Content to train any artificial intelligence models."

Your content is retained for 30 calendar days to provide the service, then automatically deleted unless Meta is legally required to keep it or it's flagged for compliance or safety monitoring.

Can you opt out? Already opted out by default. Mono (which uses the API) excludes training.

Z.AI on Mono

Trains on your data? No.

Z.AI will not use your User Content to develop or improve their services unless you explicitly agree to such use. This is clearly stated in their Additional Terms for API Services: "We will not use End User Content to develop or improve Services, unless you explicitly agree to such use."

Can you opt out? When using Z.AI through Mono, you're already opted out by default.
